We lie in the bluebells, a woodpecker laughs

Well maybe not directly Pink Floyd for the lyric, but David Gilmour. But that would still count, right?  Not sure why I am even asking you, because I make the rules anyway, but it is nice to get consensus. Not essential, just nice.

I seem to recall promising not to wait so long for my next blog post, though I am not sure how many are reading this.  Spring is here, though it would be nice if someone let the weather in on that particular secret, and with it comes the annual bluebell show.  With help from my sister-in-law I was able to find a small woodland last year that gets filled with bluebells, and with trepidation that we might be too early, or too late, we set off on Sunday.  On a side note – how do people know? I keep missing snowdrops because I have no clue when they are out each year. Each year is different. It is like the deer rut. The only solution I have come up with so far is to look for the workshop dates.  If someone like Tezni Ward plans a deer rutting workshop on a specific date, my hope is she knows what she is doing and there will be photo opportunities that week.  I guess I could ask a deer? But enough… this is a photo blog after all.  Don’t forget to click on the image to open a bigger version

The first image has a “feel” to it that I like, and you can see the bluebell carpet stretching out into the distance through the trees in the middle.

Although the day was overcast, I am constantly surprised by the subtle differences in light that the sensor picks up

And finally, another indication of the extent of the carpet in these woods.  Have a great day, and please feel free to comment or like my blog. Else those little buttons provided by the nice people at WordPress are wasting their time…

Alright. just one more:

    • Thanks Simon. If you are a fan, you should look through the rest of my blog. OK, shameless self-promotion :), but almost all titles are lyric lines
from Pink Floyd. See if any stump you…
